Where to start! I went through a hiccup with my daughters father where what should have been a simple modification turned into a custody case and lawyers were going to have to be involved pretty quickly. We used Ms.Curlin for educational advice and assistance to resolve problems, and get to the best programming possible in a district that is ignorant about special ed services. The principal at the Gen Ed school they wanted to place our autistic kids in confidently stated that they knew how to handle kids with disabilities because they’d had kids in wheelchairs before. Yikes. Alex gave us such wonderful support and helped us make sure we weren’t getting bamboozled with the different offers, that we didn’t realize benefited the school more than the kids. I don’t know what we wwould have done without her. She also prepared the guardianship paperwork for our severely disabled son and represented us in court, basically holding our hands through was was a confusing and emotional process for us.
